Harm reduction posters

Australia's overarching drug policy, Harm Minimisation, is made up of three strategies: Supply Reduction, Demand Reduction and Harm Reduction.

The last strategy, harm reduction, recognises that customs and policing (supply reduction) will not stop all illicit drugs getting onto the streets. It also recognises that for various reasons, there will always be some people who will choose to use illicit drugs. Bearing this in mind, harm reduction aims to keep people as safe and healthy as possible while they are using illicit drugs. Harm reduction services provide people with the information and equipment they need to inject drugs safely and, whenever appropriate, are able to refer people to drug detox and rehabilitation services (demand reduction).

Our injecting drug use harm reduction posters are published in each of our Hep Review magazines as a centre-fold poster. Numbers 1-18 are available (A2 sized) in a set. You can obtain free copies by using our faxback resources order form.
