News on Hep Review magazine
Edition 91 of Hep Review is the final edition of our magazine. This June 2016 edition marks the end of an era – two decades of news, information, support, advocacy and referrals.
This closure heralds the welcome beginning of new chapters in our lives: the advent of revolutionary new treatments for hep C. It also marks our expansion into working more closely with hep B. Our focus will be on working with those communities where hepatitis B prevalence is particularly high. We will work to expand and improve testing, management and treatment.
Hep Review began as a grass roots newsletter of the Hepatitis C Support Group. Edition 1 was published on 21 May 1992, reporting on the challenges facing people living with hepatitis C and on the successes of the time, raising public awareness through major national TV exposure and establishing the volunteer-run Hepatitis Infoline.
