JOIN THE HEPATITIS NSW TEAM AND MAKE A REAL DIFFERENCE IN THE LIVES OF PEOPLE AFFECTED BY HEPATITIS B
Vietnamese Project Officer and Filipino Project Officer
Hepatitis NSW is currently recruiting for two exciting community-focused positions working with Vietnamese and Filipino communities across Sydney. These roles are part of an innovative liver health and hepatitis testing program that takes healthcare directly into communities through education, outreach, screening and connection to care.
We are looking for motivated, community-minded people who are passionate about improving health and wellbeing and enjoy working closely with diverse communities. The successful applicants will help organise and deliver community events, provide health information and education, support hepatitis testing activities, work with community partners, and help connect people to care and support services.
A part-time Vietnamese Project Officer position (4 days/week) is available for someone with strong written and spoken Vietnamese and English language skills. The role will lead Hepatitis NSW’s engagement with Vietnamese communities across Sydney and help develop culturally appropriate programs and resources

Chinese hepatitis B community engagement team
Hepatitis NSW is seeking casual team members to support our Chinese hepatitis B community engagement work across Sydney. You will help create a welcoming environment for community members attending free liver health screening, including hepatitis B testing, and support them to complete surveys, provide consent and feel comfortable taking part. Most work involves speaking with community members in language, so strong Mandarin and English skills are needed.
The role is casual, with only a few days needed each month. Applicants must be based in Sydney and able to travel across the metropolitan area. Travel costs are paid by Hepatitis NSW. No previous experience or qualifications are needed, and comprehensive paid training and ongoing support will be provided.

No clinical background is needed for any of these roles, and full training will be provided, including training in community-based hepatitis testing and health promotion.
We especially welcome applications from people who are passionate about their community’s health and enjoy working with others. People living with hepatitis B are strongly encouraged to apply. Hepatitis NSW has a proud history of employing people with lived experience and creating opportunities to contribute to community health, education and awareness.
